The Soul Salmon
Gallery VIII:
The First Splash!
All photos, unless stated
otherwise, are © Sara Mall Johani. Please feel free
to use them and please credit the photographer whenever
you do.
Here are some images from "The First Splash", a hugely
successful BASH at the Bellevue Art Museum in November 2001.

The heart of the evening captured by Martha Worthley, The
Port Townsend Leader reporter. See also her
excellent article.

Salmon a la King sponsored by Puget Sound Environmental
Learning Center and Save the Last Dance For Me, sponsored
by Jefferson Land Trust were dubbed King and Queen of the
evening.

Lenore Jensen had the WINNING TICKET for the First Fish
raffle. She won the salmon for her boss, Blake Smith, shown
here picking her up to live with the South Puget Sound Salmon
Enhancement Group. Watch for a feature interview soon.
BAM had salmon only for a day - it took us 20 hours to set
up the display and take it down again. If only they could
have been at BAM for a month.

Michelle Kelley designed the Soul Salmon as a river that
ran through it.
Luna Lox sponsored by The Lateral Line lit up a dark corner
of this Pacific Northwest event.
Albert Alevin waiting in the wings before display. Sponsor:
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Spring Creek National Fish
Hatchery.
